SPRING EVENT 2018
Be part of a movement of women who want to grow and encourage others to be radically involved in the mission of God.
Georgia Baptist Women provides an opportunity for women of all ages to experience spiritual inspiration, missions challenge, personal growth and retreat. We desire to keep the passion and priority of missions alive, and as we do, expand to involve all women in Georgia who desire a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Through conferences and worship sessions, Spring Event opens the door for you to experience in-depth Bible study, develop your prayer life, and embrace authentic relationships and strong community. Leave refreshed and renewed in your walk with Christ.
The Spring Event inspired me and the ladies in my group with fresh ideas on things we can do in our community. Thanks to all who worked diligently to create the event. Our hearts were stirred by hearing about all the great things God is doing through Georgia Baptist Women.
Martha began her professional career practicing law in Texas. In 1999, she became the Women’s Consultant for the Utah-Idaho SBC where she served until her family relocated to northern Wyoming.
Martha has led women’s conferences and retreats nationwide. She is the author of the women’s Bible study, Attending the Bride of Christ: Preparing for His Return. She also serves as a women’s ministry multiplier for LifeWay and contributed to the leadership books, Women Reaching Women and Transformed Lives: Taking Women’s Ministry to the Next Level, and written articles for LifeWay’s Women’s Ministry blog.
Martha and her husband, Roger, attend First Southern Baptist Church of Worland, Wyoming, where she is a Bible study leader and a member of the women’s ministry team. Martha and Roger have three wonderful children, two fabulous sons-in-law, one amazing daughter-in-law and four precious grandchildren.
Will was born and raised in Enterprise, AL, and loved growing up in a small town that truly understood the value of community. At 13, he felt the call to vocational ministry which led him to pursue both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal/choral music education from Auburn University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Church Music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2010.
He participates in the Sons of Jubal (Georgia Baptist Men’s Chorus), he is an active adjudicator for the Georgia Baptist Keyboard Festivals, and a vocal and keyboard teacher for the Georgia Baptist summer music camp (Surge 150). He is an executive member of both the Georgia Baptist Church Music Conference and Baptist Church Music Conference and an active member of the Grammy-award nominated Baptist professional male chorus, the CenturyMen. Over the last few years, he has sung on numerous choral demo recordings for Celebrating Grace and One Voice Publishers.
He enjoys teaching private voice and piano lessons, running, reading, and traveling. He and his wife, Deanna, were married in 1998 and have three sons.
After serving with the International Mission Board for 17 years in Northern Africa and the Middle East, Sara and her husband, Dave, are recent retirees and residents of Medina, Ohio. They have two grown children, two grandsons and a granddaughter due to arrive in April. Prior to their overseas assignment they have been involved in ministries in Pittsburgh, Kansas, Washington, and Vancouver, Canada. Their ministries have included pastor, church planters, and Baptist Campus Ministers.
Debbie is known and loved by Baptist women throughout Georgia! You may remember Debbie as the missionary that you helped collect enough soup labels to purchase a van for her ministry. She has served in California at First Baptist Tahoe as a missionary since 1979. Through the years Debbie has grown an impactful ministry that touches many children and families in the community. She implemented and directed the Big A Club, Parents’ Night Out, My Morning Out and developed ski ministries in area resorts. She currently serves as the Staff Recruiter to recruit college students and adult volunteer groups for the ministries at FBC Tahoe. Debbie has also been involved in outreach ministry at 10 Olympic Games!
She is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2017, Debbie married the love of her life, Dick Reasoner, and now lives in Flowery Branch, Georgia.

Support ethnic churches in the communities surrounding Stone Mountain!
Georgia Baptist Women is partnering with the Stone Mountain Association and the Gwinnett Metro Association to encourage and bless these pastors and their families—the unsung heroes of ministry to refugees and internationals living in the area. Many work two or three jobs just to support their families and minister to their own people group. Join us to give each family a generous gift of Walmart gift cards to help with family expenses and let them know we recognize and appreciate their ministry.
Each Spring Event participant is asked to bring at least one Walmart gift card in the amount of $10.
Please do not bring gift cards from any store other than Walmart.
Please do not bring cards in any amount other than $10. This will make it easier to divide the cards among the pastors. Feel free to bring as many $10 cards as you wish.
Please bring the cards to Spring Event and place them in the basket provided at the registration desk.
Includes three meals and all general sessions and conferences
