Chrystal Evans Hurst

Author & Speaker

Most of us want to hear clearly from God but how do we prepare and position our hearts to hear from Him? How do we discern his leading and appropriately respond to what he is calling us to do? Chrystal Evans Hurst will help us take an inward look at the heart and explore how to do our part in preparing to hear from God.

Tamiko Jones

Executive Director
WMU of Texas

From beginning to end, God’s Word reveals His heart for the nations and his desire for all people to know Him as Lord and Savior. What is your part in His plan? What mission field is God calling you to serve … your family? Community? An unreached people group? Tamiko Jones, our Missions Celebration featured speaker, will inspire and challenge us to live a life on mission for God.

Shower Kit Project

Our host church, FBC Jonesboro, needs Shower Kits for their homeless and Disaster Relief ministries. They do an incredible job ministering to their community and we have an opportunity to be a blessing to those they serve. Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Review the list of items needed for the Shower Kit.
  2. Please ONLY collect items on the list. Smaller sizes are preferred. We want to give our best so please don’t bring used or half-full containers. Only new!
  3. Place the items in a drawstring bag. All items need to be included in one bag for a complete Shower Kit.
  4. Bring your Shower Kit bag assembled to Spring Event.
  5. Drop off assembled bags at the designated Collection Area near Check In.

Piercing the Darkness with Prayer for Bangladesh

In 2023, Georgia Baptist Women committed to partner with workers in South Asia to pray specifically for the needs of the people in Bangladesh.

  • Bangladesh is one of the most densely populated countries with 169 million people living in an area roughly the size of Georgia!
  • 167 million unreached people; 35 unreached people groups
  • 90% follow Islam

Let’s join our hearts, along with the small group of Christ-followers in Bangladesh, that the true God would be known and glorified throughout the land! Workers from South Asia will lead us through a focused time of prayer.

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer IS the greater work.” Oswald Chambers
