How Adopt a School Works

1. Pray

Learn the names of the principal, administrators, faculty and support staff. Ask church members to pray for them by name, and the students. Ask God to open opportunities for your church to meet needs in the school.

2. Connect

Contact schools and identify yourself, your church and the purpose of your call. Think of yourself as missionaries, learning about their needs. Rather than suggesting how you want to help, let them share how they need help.

3. Serve

Below are ideas of how churches have served their local schools. Remember, these are only ideas. The needs for your local schools may be different. Listen carefully to the school staff and only offer suggestions if needed.
