Owned and operated by Georgia Baptist Women, this multi-purpose retreat center in Clayton, Georgia is open to all Georgia Baptists. June and July are reserved for our summer missions camp program for girls.
Georgia Baptist Women encourages and assists leaders of women in the local church as they develop women’s ministry strategies through statewide training, leader retreats, networking and one-to-one consultations.
WMU assists churches with missions discipleship for preschoolers, children, youth and adults. Training and resources are provided for Anglo, African-American, Hispanic, Korean, and other language groups.
Conference Leader
Susie is the Director of the Refugee Sewing Society (RSS) in Clarkston, GA. The RSS provides a safe place for refugee women to build relationships and create handmade items to earn a supplemental income. Susie has taught with artisans in Jaipur, India, where she discovered her gift of teaching. As a friend, teacher and ambassador for Christ, Susie weaves the hope of the Gospel into her ministry. Susie is married to Mike and they have 8 children and 5 grandchildren.
Conference Leader
Tanaya is an Atlanta native who has worked in the healthcare space for the past 17 years. She is a registered nurse and Wellness Consultant. Her career path includes cardiovascular surgical focus with holistic modalities. She has served as the Georgia Baptist Mission Board’s Wellness Consultant for the past year and a half. Tanaya is married to Jamie Meaders and resides with their two children (Merrit Joy and Jax) in Monroe, GA.
Conference Leader
Beverly Skinner is the Young Women, Women’s Ministry, Missions Mobilization Consultant for Georgia Baptist Women. She is committed to helping all women discover and live out the purpose for which God has created them. Her two favorite pairs of shoes are her cowboy boots, always true to her Texas roots, and her Keen’s, which she loves to wear while exploring the North Georgia mountains with her husband Warren.
IMB Worker
Cherie and her family have served with the IMB for over 25 years. She is currently working in the the refugee space to equip, train, and resource personnel working among refugees around the globe.
