God wants us to experience abundant joy as we journey along the path He has called each of us to walk. He wants us to take time with Him, nurturing our relationship with Him that will then spill out joy in our relationships with others. We know this, but special time in the Lord’s presence can be hard to come by, and it seems there are so many distractions that rob us of our joy.
You are invited to take some time away with the Lord and like-minded women to rekindle the joy He offers. At the Women on Mission Series, you’ll have an opportunity to laugh and play with other Georgia Baptist Women, worship the Lord together, meditate on His word, and have special prayer time. You will not just have a mountain-top experience, but you will also be equipped with ways to combat those things that try to steal your joy when you get back home into daily life. You’ll be filled to overflow that joy into others in your family and community.

Frances Worthington
Frances Worthington is a pastor’s wife, the mother of seven, and a new grandmother to a precious baby girl. She and her family live in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where her husband, Jay, serves as the senior pastor of North Conway Baptist Church. Their family has been knit together by God through the miracles of birth, foster care, and international adoption.
Frances is also the founder of Desert Flower Ministries, where her passion is to empower women to thrive in life through the power of God’s Word, rather than merely survive. Over the past 25 years, God has blessed her with the opportunity to write several Bible studies and minister to women both throughout the United States and internationally. She has led women’s ministry conferences throughout the United States, Poland, Turkey, and Germany.
Frances and her family enjoy exploring the outdoors through RV traveling and have visited 35 states and 20 National Parks. They also love living at the beach, where thousands of tourists from all over the world come each year, many of whom need to know the saving love of Jesus Christ.

Sarah Willis
Worship Leader
Sarah Willis has been leading worship since 7th grade and has a deep passion for helping others encounter Jesus through music. She is a graduate of Truett McConnell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a concentration in worship. Sarah’s heart is to glorify God through music and to lead others into authentic, Christ-centered worship.
Stephanie Bennett
Breakout Leader
Stephanie Bennett is from Albany, Georgia, where she served on staff at Sherwood Baptist Church for 20 years before joining the Georgia Baptist Mission Board as the Women’s Ministry Consultant. She and her husband Ryan have two sons, and their family loves traveling, watching the boys play sports, and hosting meals and conversation around their table. Stephanie served in Poland as a semester missionary with the IMB, and she has a degree in Christian Ministry with a minor in Women’s Ministry from Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. An avid student of Scripture, Stephanie is passionate about biblical literacy in the church and leading women to know how to dig deep into the treasure of God’s Word for themselves. She also enjoys reading, painting, decorating, and hearing people’s stories over an iced coffee.

In this breakout session, we will examine what competes for our joy and learn how to fight for joy as followers of Christ.

Lodging assignments are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The main lodge will be filled first, and the cabin lodges will be filled second. You will be notified in advance of the event of your/your group lodging assignment.
Main Lodge Info:
- Main lodge rooms have three twin beds.
- Linens are provided in the main lodge.
- You will need to give the name of your roommate(s) during the registration process.
- There are no private main lodge rooms available.
Cabin Info:
- Cabin lodges have 14 twin beds (not bunk beds).
- Linens are NOT provided in the cabin lodges.
- Those assigned to a cabin lodge need to bring sheets, blanket, pillow and towel set.
- In you are coming with a group you can request a cabin lodge for your group to stay together.
